Common Causes of F9
- Burner cap misaligned or clogged with food debris
- Igniter electrode is dirty or has failed
- Gas valve for that burner isn't opening fully

Check that the burner cap and ports are seated correctly and clear of food debris, since a misaligned cap is a common, owner-fixable cause.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If a clean, correctly-seated burner still gives F9, the igniter or gas valve needs technician diagnosis, and gas-valve work specifically shouldn't be attempted without training.
