What E2 Means
E2 is an inter-zone communication fault — on multi-zone induction cooktops, the individual zone control modules have lost their signal link to the main board.
Common Causes of E2
- Internal wiring harness connector between zone modules and the main board has loosened
- One of the zone control modules has failed

A full power-cycle at the breaker is worth trying, since inter-module communication faults sometimes clear after a complete reset.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Isolating which zone module failed means testing each one individually with the cooktop open.
