What F2 Means
F2 means the control senses cavity temperature well above the normal baking range, commonly pointing to a relay welded closed and keeping the heating element powered continuously.
Common Causes of F2
- Bake or broil relay has welded contacts, stuck in the on position
- Temperature sensor has failed, giving a false low reading

There's no safe DIY step — this points to a powered heating-element circuit that shouldn't be accessed while live, and the cavity itself may still be dangerously hot.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A relay stuck closed keeps the element powered regardless of commands, which is a genuine fire-risk fault, not a routine repair.
