What F6 Means
F6 is a touchpad/membrane switch failure, related to F1 but specifically pointing at the physical membrane layer rather than a moisture/residue cause.
Common Causes of F6
- Touchpad membrane layer has physically failed or delaminated
- Membrane connector to the control board has failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Try wiping the panel first to rule out the simpler F1-style cause; if the panel is clean and dry and F6 persists, it points to the membrane itself.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Confirming whether it's the membrane itself or a deeper control fault means partial disassembly, more than a wipe-down can resolve.
