What F5 Means
F5 is a door switch/latch fault — the control board can't confirm the door is fully closed and locked, which is a safety interlock, not a convenience feature.
Common Causes of F5
- Door hinge or latch mechanism has worn or misaligned
- One of the (typically multiple, redundant) door safety switches has failed
- Debris is preventing the door from closing fully

Check that the door closes flush and latches audibly — a door that looks closed but doesn't fully latch is a common, sometimes owner-visible cause.
